Sahelion Ki Baari

Sahelion Ki Baari is one of destinations of Udaipur which attracts a lot of tourists. Located on the banks of Fateh Sagar Lake,it was built by Maharana Sangram Singh in 18th century. He even designed the garden which shows how creative he was. This extremely beautiful garden was dedicated to his Queen. It was the perfect place for her to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. She used to come here for walk and to spend leisure with her female companions and maids. For this reason the garden was named as Sahelion Ki baari meaning 'friend's turn' Here art has been given a wonderful form on the canvas of marble. The Fountains(imported from England) when played makes the environment pleasant. These mountains are carved out in the form of elephants and birds pouring out water from their mouths and beaks respectively into giving an illusion of rain. The museum inside the garden gives a chance to see how the royal households look like.
