Eklinji Temple

Rajasthan is not only the land of palaces and forts but also an important destination when it comes to temples. It is located in the town of Eklingji (Kailashpuri), the place got its name from the temple. The temple is devoted to Lord Shiva( Hindu God) and is held in high esteem by Hindus. As you walk by you will notice a beautiful four faced idol of Lord Shiva and his vehicle Nandi bull carved out in black marble. The temple also has idols of heavenly beings like Parvati(consort of Lord Shiva), Ganesh, Ganga, Kartikeya, Yamuna and Saraswathi. Karz Kund and Tulsi Kund are the two tanks which are used for the daily rituals. The architecture of Eklingnath Temple is praise worthy.The roof of the double-storied temple is in the form of a pyramid.
