Bagore ki Haveli is a great mansion located on the edge of beautiful Lake Pichola at Gangori Ghat in Udaipur. This impressive haveli has more than hundred rooms, balconies, terraces, courtyards and corridors, all having their own charm. It was built by Amir Chand Badwa, the then Prime Minister of Mewar in the 18th century. Later after the death of Amir Chand Badwa, Maharana Shakti Singh of Bagore became its owner who made some additions to the haveli. Finally it was handed over to the West Zone Cultural Centre (WZCC)(who housed there) in 1986. WZCC gave it a face lift. The Haveli has a beautiful collection of Mewar Paintings, royal costumes, and two peacocks made of glass. The mind blowing traditional Rajasthani dance and music performance organized here in the evening can be a memorable experience. Hookahs, nutcrackers, jewelry boxes, rose water sprinklers, hand fans etc. makes the museum of Bagore ki Haveli a popular destination for tourists.
