The famous Ranakpur Jain Temple exhibits art at its best on every inch. The temple was erected in the 15th century in the beautiful Aravali ranges. They were constructed during the reign of Rana Kumbha. This massive marble pilgrim is revered as one amongst the five most important temples of the Jainism. There are innumerable pillars in this temple. These forty feet high pillars are intricately carved each with a different design that bedazzles the visitor.
The assembly hall constitutes of two big bells. The sound of these 108 kilogram weighing bells echoes in the whole of the complex. The main temple is a Chaumukh (four-faced) temple dedicated to the first Jain Tirthankara, Adinath. Because of the complexity of the structure, the temple took approximately 65 years to get completely built.
