Nahargarh Fort Jaipur

Nahargarh Fort was built in 1734 by Jai Singh II. The fort offers an enchanting view of the Pink City. The term "Nahargarh" refers to "the Abode of Tigers", so it is also known as the Tiger Fort. There is a mysterious tale of spirit of Rathore prince named Nahar Singh which gave this fort its name. Madhavendra Bhawan is a beautiful palace which was built by Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh in 1880. Vidyadhar Bhattacharya, a famous designer of that time had designed the interiors of the palace. The palace has several rooms interconnected with beautifully made corridors. Inside the cafeterias of the fort you can munch on the delicious snacks. The architecture ia an amalgamation if Indian and European style. The rooms were designed in such a fashion that the king could visit any one queen's room(had 9 queens) without being seen by others.
