Lalgarh Palace

Lal Garh Palace is located in Bikaner, the city of Rajasthan which is famous for its forts and palaces. Lalgarh Palace is one of the well known palaces of Bikaner. The architecture of the palace draws a lot of tourists. Made in red stone it was built in 1902 by Maharaja Ganga Singh Ji in memory of his father Maharaja Lal Singh Ji. The credit for its beauty goes to the perfect amalgamation of Rajput, Mughal and European architectural style and its architect Sir Swinton Jacob .Great lattice work and filigree work has been used to decorate its interiors. The royal paintings hung on its walls takes you back in history.The dancing peacocks in the lush green gardens gives you a real taste of nature. It seems as if they joyfully dance to welcome the tourists. Some of the portion of the palace has been transformed into luxury hotel for tourists. Hunting trophies and royal photographs of the Maharajas of the palace can be seen in the museum inside it. You can enjoy a wide variety of books in the library of the palace.
